Before leaving the University for the Festive Break, please switch off ALL electrical appliances and ALL lights before you go. Do not leave anything on standby*. Visit the Information Services website for information on home working.
During the 2013/14 break, when the university was closed, we spent £15,000 on electricity. This was a reduction of 7% in costs and 11% energy consumption from 2012/2013 levels. Thank you!
To help us reduce fire risk, environmental impact and financial waste even further, take responsibility to SWITCH EVERYTHING OFF*. We will monitor our electricity use over the break and will feedback if we have collectively made further reductions.
