​There are a number of ways to link your students to Library resources using Moodle.

Journal database and online article URLs are often not stable or shareable, and so you have to find or create permanent links.

An easy way to get started is to use the Permalinks in LibrarySearch. Alternatively, some databases will give you stable URLs.

However, if you wanted to use DOIs (digital object identifiers) as a stable way of linking to Library resources, up to now you would have had to create the URL yourself by adding the Edinburgh Napier and DOI prefixes to the DOI number. e.g. https://ezp.napier.ac.uk/login?url=http://dx.doi.org/ 

 
New help is now available in Moodle. There is an “E-journal link helper” block which you can add to your Moodle course, and an in-text DOI button. These will help you automatically create usable DOI links.
