​There has been a lot in the press recently about the “Heartbleed” security vulnerability which has affected usernames, passwords and sensitive information on some types of secure websites.

The University reacted immediately to this news and can confirm that none of our systems are currently vulnerable to this threat.

However, if you use (or have used) the same password that you use for your Edinburgh Napier account on any other website then Information Services strongly advise that you change your password immediately. Other sites outwith the control of the University may have been compromised and your password may have been accessed without your knowledge.
