Title
Strong Turnout for Student Council

Summary
NSA’s Vice-President delighted with first student council meeting of the 2014-2015 term

Full Story

NSA’s Vice-President for Reps and Volunteers, Ryan Strachan, was extremely pleased with the first student council meeting of the 2014-2015 term. Over 200 programme reps were in attendance along with the student executive. For the first time in recent years the venue was changed to the Riady lecture theatre in Craiglockhart in an attempt to further branch out the NSA’s operations, as opposed to the traditional lecture room in Merchiston.

Strachan said, `It was really encouraging to see so many reps in attendance and engaging with the packed agenda that we have for the coming year and I`m confident that its going to be one of the best years yet for student representation at Edinburgh Napier`. The VP was also pleased that the trial of using the newly free Wednesday afternoons for student representation seemed to boost numbers despite an already packed programme of activities that are on offer in the afternoon.

NSA hopes that the success of programme rep training, school rep training and the first student council kick starts the rep system into gear and improves student representation across the board at Edinburgh Napier University.
