Full Story

Hopefully you are aware by now that Edinburgh Napier are taking part in the National Student Survey this year for the seventh time.

There are promotional materials around each campus and student reps will be out over the coming weeks promoting the survey at Craiglockhart, Merchiston and Sighthill.

So far, the current response rate for Edinburgh Napier in the 2015 National Student Survey is 49% overall, compared with 53% at the same point in the survey in 2014.

The survey opened on 12 January 2015 to final year undergraduates and will remain open until the end of April 2015 but we would like to encourage students to complete this as soon as possible via www.thestudentsurvey.com

If students complete the survey before 6 February, the University will donate £5 per survey completed to the Edinburgh Cyrenians, as chosen by the NSA on behalf of students, however, the University will be making a donation each time a survey is completed.

Edinburgh Cyrenians work with and support people who feel as though they are on the outside of society and believe that they have no way back in. Further information is provided in the briefing document attached.

Overall the University achieved a response rate of 77% in 2014 and each year we strive to increase the response rate and encourage as many students as possible to provide feedback. Overall student satisfaction went up to 85% last year.

The briefing notes are available for you to familiarise yourself with the campaign. Please show your students the promotional slides and short film.

If you would find it useful your Head of School can provide school-level lists to show you which of your students are eligible. This also allows school specific email communication to be issued. Where there are queries regarding which groups of students are eligible the sample lists can help to resolve these.
