The University has secured the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) President's Award for 12 consecutive Gold Awards.
The award for Occupational Health and Safety recognises consistently high standards in the management of Occupational Health and Safety within the University.
We are the first and only university in the UK to have received this award. Liz Young, Head of Health and Safety has commented on the impact of the achievement: "The awards have helped us lower our insurance premiums and has been used to illustrate our health and safety compliance in various tender documents for external works/projects from across the university."
