Edinburgh Napier will launch an employee network to support LGBT+ colleagues and supporters at an event next month. The event follows the University’s recent collaboration with LGBT charity Stonewall.
Stonewall research showed that one of the best ways of supporting LGBT+ colleagues and their supporters is to set up an employee network. Where these exist in other organisations they have played a vital role in supporting LGBT+ colleagues (whether out at work or not) and helping drive positive change in the workplace.
The Edinburgh Napier network will launch on 15 November in central Edinburgh. The event will be supported by Stonewall and will be an opportunity for both LGBT+ staff and their supporters to network and share ideas on how to move this agenda forward.
Sarah Chidlow from Stonewall will open the event with a short brief on who Stonewall are, followed by a short facilitated discussion to gain thoughts on next steps to shape the network.
