December pay and payroll cut off dates
The December pay date will be brought forward and staff will receive their salary on Wednesday 22 December, prior to the Christmas holidays. Pay slips will be issued on Monday 20 December. In order to make this possible we need to revise our December payroll cut-off dates:
- The payroll cut-off date for all claims (online approvals and claim forms) is Monday 6 December.
- The cut-off date for all contractual changes is Wednesday 8 December.
Due to short turnaround times, we will be unable to process any claims or contract changes after these dates. Please support the HR team by submitting any claims or contractual changes as early as possible to ensure that everybody is paid correctly.
Christmas closure
The University closes on Thursday 23 December at 1.30pm and will re-open on Wednesday 5 January 2022.
Booking annual leave on Thursday 23 December
In order to take the whole of 23 December off, if you normally finish work at 1.30pm or earlier, you would request your normal working day off as annual leave through HR Connect. For all other staff, you need to request a partial day (not half-day) through HR Connect and the hours that you are requesting. For example, a full-time support member of staff who is normally contracted to work 8:45am to 5.00pm should put in a request for 4:45 hours.
