SQA Higher Results
SQA Higher results are released on Tuesday 7 August. As in previous years, the Admissions Team will aim to have final decisions made for the majority of applicants by this date. Applicants calling on 7 August should be directed to UCAS Track
www.ucas.ac.uk/track to view our decision. If, for any reason UCAS Track is unavailable, students should be advised to call the Undergraduate Admissions Team on 08455 20 30 50.
Clearing
Clearing will be managed in a slightly different way this year, due mainly to the changes in funding arrangements for students from England, Northern Ireland and Wales (or ‘Rest of the UK’ RUK students).
In line with these changes, the University will publish available vacancies by fee category:
- Scottish/EU Clearing Vacancies
- RUK Clearing Vacancies
- International/Overseas Clearing Vacancies
Scottish/EU Clearing Vacancies
The University aims to meet its Scottish Funding Council targets for Scottish/EU students and we currently anticipate that places will be available in Clearing for Computing, Built Environment, Civil Engineering, Nursing and some Creative Industries courses. For an up-to-date list of all courses in Clearing, enquirers should be directed to the clearing website or asked to call the Clearing Line on 08452 60 60 40
GCE A-level Results
Results are released on Thursday 16 August and we would aim to have made final decisions on the majority of applications by this point. RUK and International Clearing Vacancies
The number of students we can recruit from the Rest of the UK and from Overseas is not subject to Scottish Funding Council control. As a result, we anticipate that all our courses will be open to students from the Rest of the UK and to International students throughout the Clearing period. A full list of all courses available is available on the clearing website.
Clearing will be operating from Craighouse Campus this year. Given the complexities surrounding the different fee categories this year, we would strongly advise all enquiries relating to available places in Clearing are referred to the Clearing Team on 08452 60 60 40 or enquirers can complete an online Clearing Enquiry Form on the clearing website.
