SEDA Special 28 ‘Working with Cultural Diversity in HE’ (May 2011)

SEDA Special 28 is a joint publication between leading experts in Internationalisation of HE, colleagues from Edinburgh Napier, colleagues at partner colleges in India and colleagues from partner universities in China. It’s a great achievement for everyone who contributed. Monica Foster is the Editor of the publication and initiated this project. This is the second initiative of this kind – similar to SEDA Special 23 Enhancing the Experience of Chinese students in UK HE which also promoted collaboration in research and was jointly publishing with colleagues from partner universities in China.

With the International theme being very much as a target for growth for the Faculty, it’s important we demonstrate that International activity is more than bringing new students. There are other benefits / activities around it, such as this one i.e. a cooperation of colleagues to publish good practice together. This is hopefully a very useful initiative showing good practice in this very timely issue but also promoting collaboration and good work that is going on that otherwise may not have got published. Our partners in China and in India are very pleased with this publication and the support from Edinburgh Napier.
