Event Description:
This workshop discusses the concepts and terminology required to implement projects successfully using the standard Edinburgh Napier University methodology. #

Duration: 3.5 Hours

Aim:
To provide an overview on the methodology that can be employed by Project Managers to ensure successful delivery of a project within the constraints of time, cost and scope.

Participants will:
By the end of the workshop, be able to:
o understand the key phases within a project
o understand the tools employed by Project Managers to implement a project
o initiate a project within the Edinburgh Napier Methodology
o understand key documentation
o recognise roles and responsibilities
o know where to go for advice and help

Content:
The session will be a blend of input from the tutor, activities, discussion and sharing of experience.

You will be asked to come prepared with a project you are working on, about to embark on, or have previously undertaken to use for discussion during the session, either as a Project Manager or as a Project Team Member.

Conditions:
Attendance should be discussed and agreed with your HOD/ line manager and linked to your PDR Learning & Development Plan before booking.

Charges:
To attend: Free to members of staff.

Cancellations & non-attendance:
Cancellations will be accepted up to 10 working days before the event starts. Thereafter, your department will be charged for cancellations and non attendance on the day, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
