This project will carry out a review of the fixed line Telephony services within the University. The review will consider the use of different technology such as SIP trunks instead of ISDN lines, the migration of voice services to the cloud or on premise.
Install and maintain a firewall configuration to protect the School of Computing network and the University network to support teaching and research.
The software currently recommended for use by staff and students, TrueCrypt, is unlikely to be suitable in the longer term, as development has ceased and the software lacks features which are desirable in the enterprise environment e.g. CESG certification, key management and policy enforcement.
