50th Anniversary Plans
We have come a long way since we opened as Napier Technical College on 7 September, 1964.
2014 marks our 50 years as an education institution and we will be marking this key anniversary with some special activities which aim to:
- Showcase 50 years of achievement and educational impact locally, nationally and internationally and celebrate success
- Celebrate the history and heritage of the University
- Engage staff, students, alumni and other internal and external stakeholders around our success and celebrations
- Provide a platform to launch a £100million revenue generating and fundraising campaign
- Provide a platform for the launch of the University’s strategy beyond 2015
- Set the stage for the next 50 years of achievement.
A University-wide Project Board has been established to guide the plans. There is also an Implementation Group based within International, Development and External Affairs who will focus on the delivery of the special events, publications and services.
