Grounds

Grounds Maintenance throughout the University estate is carried out by our small team of experienced Grounds Maintenance staff who are based at Craiglockhart Campus.

The work undertaken includes both programmed and reactive work throughout the year, such as:- 

• Lawn and grass management
  
• Pruning of shrubs and trees
  
• Hedge trimming
  
• Planting of annuals
  
• Weed control
  
• Leaf collection etc

The work is carried out to achieve best environmental practice and compliance with current legislation.

A number of specialist contractors, such as tree surgeons and equipment maintenance contractors are also utilised to help with our aim of delivering a high standard of service.
