The implementation of the University's Estate Strategy 2006-2016 has resulted in the commitment to a development programme valued in excess of £100m. Craiglockhart Campus was redeveloped in 2004, and Sighthill in 2011. The limited redevelopment of merchiston is now complete, with the new build music facility opening for student use in September 2013. Some additional improvements are planned for Merchiston Campus with a programme of works currently being defined. Edinburgh Napier's Craighouse campus has now been sold to the Craighouse Partnership consortium for a proposed exceptional residential development.
The funds from the sale of Craighouse will be re-invested in the University estate, to provide the best possible learning and teaching facilities for our students. The University handed over the site to the developer in June 2013.
