Health and Wellbeing

Investing in and promoting positive colleague health and wellbeing creates a culture where employees feel nurtured, confident to be the best version of themselves and where people can flourish and reach their potential. We know that positive colleague health and wellbeing can lead to increased resilience, better employee engagement, reduced sickness absence and higher performance and productivity.

Edinburgh Napier University strives to be a supportive and proactive employer and we work to fulfilling commitments outlined in our Mental Health Strategy (2021-2024). The main purpose of the Strategy is to ensure that the University is recognised as an organisation that safeguards and promotes the mental health and wellbeing of its students and staff and that it treats all members of its community equitably and with respect, kindness and empathy.

Report & Support

Report and Support allows anyone who has experienced sexual violence, harassment, or misconduct of any kind to report or disclose incidents to the University. If you’ve been subjected to any form of misconduct, you can report to a trained Adviser or choose to tell us anonymously through Report and Support.

We are working hard to make Edinburgh Napier University a better, safer and more equal place to work and study. Report and Support helps us do this by allowing our students and staff to report misconduct to a trained adviser or anonymously; or to use the site to identify sources of support in the University or from external organisations.

Human Resources (HR) can provide support and advice.  Call the team on x3344 or email HumanResources@napier.ac.uk

Employees who are members of the Educational Institute of Scotland (EIS) or UNISON can receive support and advice from their trade union representative.
