Karen Cairney - Director, IDEA.
Karen Cairney is responsible for leading the fundraising and alumni activities for the University under the direction of the Principal and the Development Advisory Board. She works closely with the Principal, senior management and the academic community to drive forward fundraising activity and build lasting relationships with key stakeholder groups, both in the UK and overseas including business, government, alumni, donors and others who can help support Edinburgh Napier’s ambitions. Karen Goodman supports the Director in the overall management of the office, with key responsibility for setting and driving forward the work of the operations team, including office systems and processes, alumni fundraising and engagement programmes at home and overseas. Leanne Mabberley - Assistant Director, Marketing, Brand and Communications.
Leanne is responsible for leading the Marketing, Brand and Communications team which delivers and produces marketing campaigns, publications, branding, graphic design, digital communications (including website, film and social media), photography, internal corporate communications and media relations. This work supports undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment both in the UK and overseas, promotion of our business services and other internal and external projects. Sandra is responsible for working with the Director - ensuring she is supported in all endeavours relating to her role.
