Opening Hours

Opening hours for our libraries at Craiglockhart, Merchiston and Sighthill.

During trimester 1 & 2 Merchiston Library is open 24 hours but is unstaffed outwith the hours below.  During trimester 3 Merchiston Library is open 08:00am - 22:00 Monday to Friday and 09:00 to 18:00 Saturday and Sunday but is unstaffed outwith the hours below.  There is no access to bookstock or requests outwith staffed hours and further details of the facilities available are explained on the attached poster.

Monday - Thursday  08:45 - 21:00 
Friday                    08:45 - 20:00

Saturday                10:00 - 16:00 
Sunday                  10:00 - 16:00

Trimester 3 (Summer) Opening Hours

Saturday                   10:00 - 16:00
Sunday                     Closed
