Gillian Ingram, Executive Support Officer & PA
Gillian supports the University Secretary by providing a comprehensive PA and executive support service, monitoring finances and projects and providing initial analysis and briefing. She is also clerk of both Information Systems Development Committee and Infrastructure Development Committee and is responsible for ensuring, on behalf of the University Secretary, that the Internal Audit programme is effectively administered within the University in line with formal protocols. David Cloy, Assistant Secretary

John McDermott, Governance Officer (Committee Support)
John provides professional support to four of Edinburgh Napier’s senior committees: 
Academic Board; Finance & Commercialisation Committee; Health & Safety Committee; and the Students' Association Committee.
John also runs training events to promote common standards for minute-taking (complementary to Colin Steen's training for committee servicing); and report-writing. He also oversees and helps with the work to maintain the comprehensive and user-friendly intranet site for Governance Services. Helen Mizen, Governance Officer (Data Protection and Legal)
Helen manages the University’s compliance with the Data Protection Act, providing advice and guidance on the legislation, drafting and reviewing associated documents and delivering briefing sessions. Helen also offers diagnostic legal advice, facilitates the process of obtaining advice from the University’s solicitors and is Clerk to the Estates Committee. Diana Watt, Governance Officer (Records Management)
Diana is responsible for developing and supporting a culture of information compliance and good records management practice across the University. This includes developing, implementing and supporting systems and practices which facilitate compliance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act. Colin Steen, Governance Officer (Principal's Executive Group)
Colin is the Governance Officer for the Principal’s Executive Group, Senior Managers' Forum, Audit Committee and Honorary Awards Committee, responsible for: managing the forward planning of meetings; agenda and papers preparation; minute publication and records management associated with these meetings. Elaine Hendry, Governance Assistant
Elaine supports the University’s information governance activities through co-ordinating the University’s responses to Freedom of Information requests, maintaining the University’s Publication Scheme, providing advice on Freedom of Information compliance and providing advice and guidance on records management including retention schedules. Mark Mackay, Administrative Assistant
Mark provides general administrative support to the team, including the administration of committees including Court and Academic Board and assistance with Data Protection Act compliance and enquiries. Mark also creates and maintains the department’s intranet and sharepoint sites and prepares and maintains the University’s annual calendars of meetings and key dates.
