Academic Strategy & Practice
Academic Strategy & Practice provides strategic leadership for the development and direction of the University’s academic activity in teaching learning and assessment and academic portfolio. This embraces: supporting and championing the development of academic excellence; promoting innovation in teaching, learning and assessment, technology enhanced learning and in the development of the curriculum and academic portfolio; leading quality enhancement including QAA Enhancement Themes and Enhancement Led Institutional Review.
Our PgCert Teaching and Learning in Higher Education is HEA and NMC accredited; both the PgCert and our MSc Blended and Online Education have SEDA recognition. We run the University’s Teaching Fellow Scheme and lead on the accreditation against the HEA’s UK- Professional Standards Framework. We provide leadership for initiatives and change projects in learning, teaching and assessment practice.
