Due to a change in Microsoft Office products, Information Services are no longer able to install Microsoft Office 2016 on University-owned laptops.
Laptops that currently have Microsoft Office 2016 installed will switch to ‘Reduced Functionality Mode’ within the next six months. If you currently use a University-owned laptop and wish to continue using Microsoft Office, you will need to remove the existing installation and then install the Microsoft Office 365 desktop apps.
If you are the only user of the laptop then you should install the Office 365 apps by following the instructions here.
If the laptop is shared, contact IS using the Shared Laptop Office365 Installation form found here.
Unfortunately, Visio and Project are not yet offered with Office365, however they continue to be available via the VDS.
Information Services thank you for your support as we work to update the software on University-owned laptops.
