Libraries are
now open with a range of safety measures in place for your health and
wellbeing. This includes booking in advance for study spaces,
Click and Collect for books and wearing a face covering.
You’ll
find all the details at Library
Services and COVID-19.
Throughout the closures, many physical Library services
have been on hold, loan limits were extended and all Library fines from 9
March were waived automatically.
Now
that we are open, policies will be returning to normal and we have
made some changes to help us share resources while ensuring health
and safety.
- Most Library
books will be available for a seven day loan period. Books
renew automatically for up to four months, unless they are requested by another
user
- From
14 September, we will reinstate library fines for recalled items
and overdue laptops
- You
will be able to place Click and Collect requests for books on the
shelf from the 7th of September, and for any book from 14
September
Other
Library policies will return to normal, including numbers of
items/requests available to users (15 items for students and five
active requests at any one time).
If
you still have Library items you borrowed before COVID-19 closures, please
return them as soon as possible. All due dates have been reset to 2 October to
enable sharing with other users.
If you have issues returning items or accessing the services you need, email library@napier.ac.uk or
call 0131 455 3500.
