All
colleagues are welcome to join the Help with Teaching Online Q&A sessions organised
by the Digital Support Partnership and Department of Learning and Teaching
Enhancement (DLTE).
As
well as providing the opportunity for academic and Professional Services
colleagues to ask any questions they may have relating to supporting students
and teaching online, this week’s
session (Thursday 18 March, 12pm to 1pm) will also include a short
presentation on student engagement strategies.
This
segment will be recorded and available to watch on the Developing your Teaching and Support for Learning Online Moodle
Community (self-enrol) at your leisure, should you be unable to
attend. If you're time-limited and happen to join during this segment with an
urgent question, not to worry – staff will continue to answer questions
throughout the entire hour.
These
informal Q&A sessions will continue to run fortnightly every second
Thursday between 12pm and 1pm. Just like this week’s session, however,
once a month we will also incorporate a short, structured segment into the
session where guest-speaker colleagues will present short “show and tells” of
their practice, sharing successes and failures of their online teaching and
support experiences. Details of these will be announced on our Moodle Community
Announcements forum - feel free to share widely.
