Diversity
and Inclusion is everyone’s responsibility, and we all have a part to play in
ensuring that everyone at Edinburgh Napier feels supported, valued, and respected.
The two-part ‘Diversity and Inclusion at Edinburgh
Napier’ module explores equality, diversity and inclusion, and how making
changes can improve inclusivity in our working and non-working environments. It
identifies behaviours, language, and attitudes that promote inclusive working
relationships.
The course will explore:
- Reviewing the differences in equality, diversity and
inclusion
- Reviewing direct and indirect discrimination,
harassment and bullying, and victimisation
- Avoiding behaviours that constitute unfair treatment
- Strategies for addressing or facing unfair treatment
at work with practical examples on how to utilise these strategies
- Understanding what support is available through Edinburgh
Napier
Participants will have the opportunity to increase
their knowledge around diversity and leave the session with strategies to help
them tackle situations when unfair treatment arises.
This course is open to and is suitable for all
Edinburgh Napier colleagues. It will be conducted in an interactive and
supportive online training environment and will use case studies and research
to bring this to life.
