Contractors will be carrying out work from Wednesday to Friday this week to dismantle and remove several rolling book racks from Craiglockhart library.
The work will be taking place primarily on levels 0 and 1 of Craiglockhart library towards the rear courtyard. During this time, the fire exit at the rear of the library will remain open to allow access but will be off-limits to staff and students.
While we will try to keep disruption to a minimum, some areas of the library and courtyard may be taped off while the racks are removed and the flooring relaid. The work is likely to create some unavoidable noise, however we aim to complete the project within three days to minimise the impact on staff and students.
