Title
ENSA partners with Action For Children on Heritage Project

Summary
ENSA and Action For Children will be providing a cultural heritage project for young women from across Edinburgh.

Full Story

ENSA is pleased to announce that its partnership with Action for Children commenced at the Scottish Portrait Gallery on Wednesday, 12 October.

Action for Children successfully applied for funding from the Heritage Lottery to implement a two-year multi-layered inclusion project for young women from ethnically and culturally diverse backgrounds who attend High Schools in the Edinburgh area. An overview of the project can be found here.

ENSA has volunteered to support the project by assisting the 50 school children who are participating, from four Edinburgh High Schools, to complete their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. In parallel the association’s student volunteers can also use this experience, working with the school children, to evidence their own Gold DofE Award.

This project will also provide opportunities for Edinburgh Napier students to participate in roles such as website design, social media management, events organisation, film making, and roles working with the young people in developing art projects.
