Naomi Graham, Vice Principal for International, presents the Bright Red Triangle team with the Enterprise Award at last year's ceremony
Our people are at the heart of everything we do – and our annual Above & Beyond Awards give the University the chance to shout about your contribution to our success, while raising awareness of individual and team achievements across Edinburgh Napier.
This year’s Above & Beyond Awards take place at Craiglockhart on Thursday, 25 April, with successful nominees enjoying an evening of celebration and prize giving. There are eight Above & Beyond awards to be won, while long service and HEA fellowship will also be acknowledged on the night.
The nomination process for this year’s awards opens today! This is your chance to recognise those who have gone above and beyond in your School or department over the last twelve months.
You can nominate colleagues and teams here in one of the following categories:
Professional Award
Individuals who are consistently passionate about working at the University and who take pride in how we are perceived.
Innovative Award
Staff who proactively seek out new, different or more effective ways of working to make a positive difference to the University.
Ambitious Award
Those who continuously improve themselves, the University and our students.
Partnership Award
Recognises an individual, team or group of individuals who have successfully built strong partnerships internally with staff and/or students or externally with industry, public services etc.
Inclusive Award
Colleagues who contribute to a sense of support, belonging and respect that includes everyone associated with the University equally without restriction or discrimination.
Outstanding Student Experience Award
Individuals or teams who have delivered an outstanding student experience through delivery of teaching, ongoing support in the student learning journey or personalised support.
Leadership Excellence Award
This could either be academic leadership through programme/module leadership or leadership of a team, through a project or line management.
The University Enterprise Award
Individuals or teams who support the university's enterprise agenda through an outstanding and sustained contribution.
Visit the Above & Beyond site for full category descriptions and what our judges will be looking for.
Nominations close on Friday, 15 February. Our judging panel will then have the tough job of shortlisting the nominees who will attend this year’s awards ceremony in April – and who will be in the running to win one of eight Above & Beyond Awards on the night.
Please take the time to recognise those who have gone above and beyond in your School or department over the last twelve months.
