The National Student Survey (NSS) is an annual survey of all final year undergraduate degree students in the UK, designed to assess their experience of university life.
Last year’s total participation rate of 78%. The survey closes on 30 April and, with two months to go, it’s critically important staff get their final year undergraduate students to reflect on their entire experience at Edinburgh Napier and encourage them to complete the survey.
Here’s how you can help:
- A staff intranet hub is available, containing information and resources such slides, email templates and designed campaign collateral to help promote NSS 2019 to students
- Encourage students to reflect on their entire experience at Edinburgh Napier when completing the survey, not just the last few weeks/months/year
- Ask students to check their student email account for an email from Ipsos MORI – and to complete the survey online to avoid a call from Ipsos MORI to complete the survey over the phone!
- Where possible, set aside five to ten minutes at the end of relevant classes to allow students to complete the survey during that time
The results of the survey are used by universities and colleges to improve students’ academic experience, pinpointing areas for change and the enhancement of teaching and learning.
