Edinburgh Napier have retained our HR Excellence in Research Award following our 8 year review, demonstrating our long-term commitment to supporting and developing the careers of our researchers.
This commitment was recognised in 2010 when we originally received this accolade, retaining it in 2014 following an external review process.
The HR Excellence in Research Award acknowledges an institution’s alignment with the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and Code of Conduct. The UK process incorporates both the QAA Quality Code for Higher Education - Chapter B11: Research Degrees, and the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers, enabling institutions that have published Concordat implementation plans to attain the HR Excellence in Research Award. It also includes ongoing national evaluation and benchmarking.
