The provision of digital support for students and graduates is a key priority within Edinburgh Napier’s 2020/21 Strategy. This has become even more pertinent as our student services adapt their delivery methods in light of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
One way in which we are going above and beyond to support our graduating cohorts this summer is through the launch of our digital graduate support platform, Graduate Plus. Led by the Student Futures Graduate Recruitment team, and delivered in close collaboration with colleagues from BRT and Alumni, this platform will transform our methods of support delivery for new graduates.
Hosted on it are a range of digital services to support graduates in their early careers and to help keep them connected to the wider Edinburgh Napier community. Access is available to all graduating students for two years after they complete their studies. This year, given the circumstances, we’ve opened access early so that all final year UG and PG students can access this support now.
We’ve found that graduate support portals are becoming an increasingly popular tool for universities across the UK to help with the challenges of delivering support services remotely. The team have been delighted to be asked by Abintegro, a key provider of this software, for permission to use our platform as an example of best practice within the industry!
With some really positive feedback from colleagues across the University and externally, the team are confident that graduating students will find real value in this offering. Look out for further posts coming soon on our social channels.
