Edinburgh Napier University's Armed Forces Network is delighted to host Brigadier Gill Wilkinson as she delivers a guest lecture to highlight the University’s support for Armed Forces Day entitled 'Let us learn from the past to profit by the present, and from the present to live better for the future.'
Brigadier Wilkinson has served in the Army for 28 years, initially as a Regular officer and then as a Reservist. With reference to the works of Owen, Sassoon and others, she will consider literary perspectives of Conflict and Leadership, set against the context of her personal experience, growing up during 'The Troubles' in Northern Ireland, and throughout her military and civilian career.
We are pleased to welcome guests into our Craiglockhart Campus after a two year hiatus due to the pandemic.
Doors open at 6.00pm and the lecture will begin at 6.30pm. The lecture finishes at 7.30pm followed by refreshments.
Free parking is available.
