​Welcome to the Learning & Development Team homepage


The L&D team provide and support learning and development opportunities for all Edinburgh Napier staff to ensure they have the skills to execute their roles, help them feel confident in their performance, achieve their potential and be part of the University’s success.​ 

Our activities broadly fall into three categories - Learning Events & Resources, Partnering and Projects.

Learning Events and Resources  - This is our scheduled calendar of events for all staff including mandatory and essential role specific training. Increasingly we are able to offer staff unrestricted access to learning materials that support their own self-directed development and career goals. 

Partnering – We collaborate closely with our HR partners and their assigned schools and professional services areas to define and implement solutions that support local development needs.  

Projects - All of our project activities are aligned to support the University’s strategic priorities and annual plans. In 2021 we are supporting the University Annual Plan with a focus on Coaching, Leadership, Management Essentials Training and My Contribution. ​
