VBase is the volunteering service for our students providing access to great opportunities to build their skills and experience whilst studying at the University.

Edinburgh Napier Student Association (ENSA) set up and managed VBase by working with both our students and charities to ensure a best fit for all.

After reviewing their objectives and core purpose, ENSA has advised that they will no longer be able to provide this service. We recognise that volunteering is a valuable service that we’d like to continue to provide for our students, therefore we’ve agreed to pick this up and drive it within our Student Futures Team (previously the Employability and Opportunities team).

We’d like to thank ENSA for all their hard work in starting this initiative and running with it for the last couple of years.

Our Student Futures Team has already been in touch with a variety of charitable organisations to extend an opportunity to partner with us and advertise any voluntary work they may have via our MyFuture portal. We won’t use the name VBase going forward as volunteering will just become part of a range of opportunities offered through the MyFuture portal so we will aim to promote this instead.
