The University has pledged to support and participate in Earth Hour 2018 this Saturday.
The annual event, organised by the World Wide Fund for Nature, calls for action on climate change and is also a good time to consider the steps we can all take to reduce our individual and community impact on the environment.
Earth Hour 2018 will be held between 8.30pm and 9.30pm this Saturday, 24 March. At Edinburgh Napier, we will switch off all non-necessary lighting and equipment to mark the occasion. We encourage you to do the same at home or wherever you are this weekend.
The University is continually making changes to reduce our environmental impact. We are very proud to have reduced our carbon emissions by over 40% over the past 10 years. But we need to keep going and do more. To do that, we need you!
You can learn about our work online, including our latest Climate Change Report. Get in touch via environment@napier.ac.uk if you’d like to help.
Taking steps to change are easy. Switch off. Walk, cycle and take public transport. Reduce and recycle your waste.
Think about your impact.
