Edinburgh Napier’s BEng (Hons) Cybersecurity and Forensics has today been awarded full undergraduate certification from the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) – the first undergraduate course in the UK to achieve full accreditation.
The NCSC have taken over accreditation from GCHQ, so this also extends to the undergraduate course equivalent accreditation held at present by the MSc Advanced Security & Digital Forensics.
Sally Smith, Dean of the University’s School of Computing, said, “This enhances the already excellent reputation for cyber security here at Edinburgh Napier University.
"Behind the scenes, Bill Buchanan, Robert Ludwiniak and the programme team, with expert technical support from Bobby Souter, together with the wider subject group, have been working hard to create an exceptional course and achieve this external recognition.”
