The eighth annual Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce Business Awards took place at the EICC last week, with 600 business leaders, entrepreneurs and innovators celebrating a year of achievement and development across the capital.
And Edinburgh Napier’s commitment to inclusion was recognised as we picked up the Diversity in Business award!
Former Inclusion Partner, and now Head of Employer Engagement, Fiona Forrest-Anderson, picked up the award on the University’s behalf along with Kerry Dewar, Director of People & Services.
The judging panel were particularly impressed that we promote diversity as a key value of the business, and with our commitment to cultivate a diverse workforce with equal opportunities for all.
They said we’ve made a clear contribution to social justice, equality and diversity through a myriad of activities and policies for students and staff.
Kerry said, “We've always been committed to equality and diversity, and known as a friendly, supportive university. Of course, culture change is a journey and our efforts will continue. A huge thanks to Fiona and to our colleagues across the University who promote and live inclusion.”
