As
society begins to reopen and certain restrictions are removed, Test and Protect
will remain a key part of keeping the Covid-19 infection rate low. There are
several ways in which you can get a test or tests depending on your
circumstances.
Got
Covid-19 symptoms?
Book
a PCR test. You can have a test sent to your home or attend one of the testing
sites located across Scotland. You’ll find full details of the process, how to
book a test, and where the testing sites are situated, here.
There’s
currently a walk through Covid-19 testing site at our Craiglockhart campus but
this is not operated by the University and you must book an appointment through
the link above.
No
symptoms but need to attend campus?
Many people have Covid-19 but have no symptoms, which is one of
the ways it can spread quickly to different people. Being tested is so
important as it protects everyone within your household and within our
Edinburgh Napier community.
If you’re coming on to campus, you can arrange for regular
lateral flow tests. You can attend the lateral flow testing centre we have set
up in partnership with the University of Edinburgh at the Pleasance. Tests can
be booked through the Edinburgh Napier app, or via My Workplace on the
staff intranet, by clicking the tile marked "Book your Covid-19
test".
If you cannot attend the testing centre, you can order lateral flow
tests online or collect them from an NHS test site.
Invited
someone to attend campus, for example a guest lecturer?
Anyone
attending campus that is not employed by the University should order a test online or
pick up a test from an NHS test site in advance of their
visit.
