Summary
Andrea Nolan has shared a message of support for those affected by the situation in Ukraine

Full Story

Colleagues,

I know that many of you, like me, have been shocked, saddened and concerned by the news, images and stories coming out of Ukraine. I want to reassure you that we are supporting those affected - the wellbeing of our colleagues and students is our utmost priority.

Since the conflict began last week, we have been contacting those we know may be impacted and offering support. We have a small number of students from Ukraine and several staff with family connections and a small number of Russian students. They have been offered counselling and mental wellbeing support as well as any other more practical needs they may have. We are also engaging with the Scottish Government and Universities UK to work with officials on providing effective support for those impacted.

Staff members can find the support we offer in our Health and Wellbeing section on the staff intranet.

Students affected by the news can reach our health and wellbeing resources via My Napier. Our colleagues at ENSA are also there to provide advice, support and an adviser to talk to if a student's studies, or any aspect of their life, is being impacted. They can be contacted by email at ensa.advice@napier.ac.uk.

You can also access a list of online resources that may be able to assist you in locating services and receiving aid in Ukraine.

The University Leadership Team is monitoring the ongoing and developing situation and will share any updates when appropriate.

Our thoughts are with the people of Ukraine at this difficult and dangerous time.

Thank you,

Andrea
