University Owned / Provided Mobile Devices
Edinburgh Napier University has a contract with O2 for the supply of mobile telephony and data for staff.
All University owned mobile devices were transferred to this contract as part of a migration project during 2015 when a new departmental billing structure was also established to provide greater local control over costs.
Please speak to your local departmental contact/s who will advise you on the procedure for requesting a device, connection or change to your tariff.
For further information about purchasing IT equipment visit the IT Procurement page.
Please note: Once you receive your new mobile device you must follow the guidance on the New Device Checklist to ensure you're able to access the University’s online services from your device and to ensure the University’s information is protected.
You will find a link to the list of the recommended devices on the IT Procurement page.
The IT services provided to the University are designed to be accessible by a wide range of devices, including mobile devices, however if you have any queries about the most appropriate choice of equipment please contact the IS Service Desk for advice.
