Don't dump, donate!
Students leaving the University at the end of each academic year are encouraged to collect and donate reusable items in the individual red, white, yellow and clear bags provided to all students and deposited at a collection point located at Bainfield and Orwell Terrace. Bedding (duvets and pillows), books, clothing kitchen utensils, shoes, stationary, unopened and unperishable food are accepted. There are also a range of charity shops close to all accommodation sites, as shown within our student accommodation waste page.
The aim of the initiative is to find quality and reusable items a new home. All items donated to the University will be donated to external charities or offered for reuse to students starting at the University for the following academic year. For more information contact Donny McCormick or view the project poster.
The project has been developed be members of the Student Accommodation Team and wider Property & Facilities Team.
