​Neil Woodcock

Neil is a Chartered Accountant with over 40 years’ experience in professional services - both front of house serving clients (at big four accountants PwC) and then running operations for business process outsourcing at PwC and latterly at international law firm Salans (now part of Dentons).

Neil held the following roles in his time at PwC:  Assurance/Transaction Services Partner - in charge of the Scottish Assurance (Audit) Practice for some years with clients in Energy (Oil and Gas, Electricity Generation), Biotech, Business Services, Food and Beverage, Higher Education, Hospitality and Utilities; Risk Management Partner for PwC Scotland; HR and Recruitment Partner for the Assurance Practice.  At Salans the heads of Finance, IT, Marketing and HR reported directly to Neil and he also ran a number of acquisitions, tax and risk management projects for the firm.

He retired from Salans in 2011 to pursue a Horticultural Qualification at Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, achieving an HND with Distinction in 2013.  Aside from this interest he is a mentor to fledgling businesses and ICAS students.
