Please note that there are slightly different processes for Professional Services and Academic Staff at present so please ensure that you use the correct forms.

 

Short-listing

 

Short-Listing Matrix - must be completed for all applicants to establish the strongest candidates to invite to interview and to provide constructive feedback to unsuccessful candidates.

Preparing for the Interview

 

Appointment Panel Constitution

Interview Timetable/Decision Sheet : includes details of the panel, interview arrangements and short-listed candidates. This is also used to record the panel's appointment decision.

Interview Assessment Form - Each panel member is responsible for completing their own form for each candidate. At the end of the interview the Chairperson of the panel should correlate the comments for each candidate onto one Chairpersons Scoring Sheet - all other paperwork must be confidentially destroyed.

After the Interview

Appointment Form - to be sent back to HR along with all the documentation required for HR to issue a contract of employment.  

 

External Assessors on Interview Panel

Senior academic posts external assessors to sit on the interview panel. These must be arranged by the department - relevant documents are below.
