Priority Management

The aim of this course is to apply essential tools and techniques to use time and resources available effectively with the aim to achieve personal and organisational goals.
If the answer is yes to any of the below questions then this course could be something for you:
1) Do you constantly feel like you are firefighting?
2) Are you looking for ways to feel more in control of required deliverables
 

Who should attend?

Any staff member who is either directly or indirectly responsible for the development of others. This includes staff members who are responsible to manage performance or staff members who manage a team/project.

Aims:

  • Recognise the importance of self-awareness and how it's connected to managing time and resources
  • Explain the circle of influence and the benefits of a proactive mind-set
  • List 5 different tools and techniques to manage time and resources at work
  • Identify how we manage tasks through and with others
  • List a number of guidelines to support you to manage upwards
  • Use an effective approach to delegate work
  • Create an action plan to manage your own challenges in terms of task and resource management
 

Participants will have the opportunity to:

1) Receive a toolkit containing different time management tools including a personal goal-setting template, a task prioritisation matrix and a delegation tool
2) Identify a number of ways to overcome own challenges related to time and resource management
