We received a record 262 nominations in our third year of the Above & Beyond recognition scheme - the ceremony took place at Craiglockhart on Thursday 25 April. Our panel reviewed all nominations and the shortlisted nominees received an invitation to the Above & Beyond event where the winner of each award was revealed.

Our worthy winners were:

• Ambitious award: Katrina Morrison, Lecturer, School of Applied Sciences
• Inclusive award: Richard Whitecross, Associate Professor, The Business School
• Innovative award: Nadine Van Der Pompe, Capability Development Manager, Human Resources and Development
• Leadership Excellence award: Renée Stefanie, Lecturer T&S, School of Arts and Creative Industries
• Outstanding Student Experience award: Theory 6 Module Team, School of Health and Social Care
• Partnership award: Liz Adamson, Associate Professor, School of Health and Social Care
• Professional award: The Security Team, Property and Facilities
• University Enterprise Award: The Entrepreneurship Team, The Business School

On the night, we also celebrated staff who have given 25 years’ service, those promoted in 2018 and our colleagues who achieved HEA fellowship in 2018.

It was another fantastic evening and one to remember for all attendees.
