​​General Health & Wellbeing

The University offers advice to all staff to look after their health and general wellbeing, whether through physical activtiy, healthy eating or support during difficult times.


Physical activity
With [EN]GAGE, Edinburgh Napier hosts a gym and classes at the Sighthill campus. Colleagues can help with advice if you're looking to optimise your fitness, stay health or try something new, there are plenty of classes and options. During the COVID-19 pandemic, you can access tips and videos on the [EN]GAGE Workplace by Facebook page.


Healthy Eating
Food Standard Scotland published the Eatwell Guide to help individuals and families have a more balanced diet.
Parent Club have an interactive meal planner which allows you to create your own weekly menu with many suggested meals and recipes.


If you would like to stop smoking but you are not sure where to start, Quit Your Way Scotland has a range of information, support and resources to help you quit. You can speak to an advisor, find local groups and get a quit pack sent to you.

Emotional Support
The University offers support to members of staff who have lost someone. You will find more information in the Bereavement Support for Staff leaflet.


Women's health  
The University offers supports to ​members of staff who are experiencing menopause.You will find more information here​​​
