Information Services provides technical support at Boroughmuir Thistle girl’s football team’s 2016 award ceremony
For the 3rd time in 3 years Boroughmuir Thistle girl’s football team celebrated their yearly award ceremony in the Craiglockhart Riady theatre on Wednesday 9th November.
Boroughmuir Thistle is the 2nd largest female football club in Scotland and offers football coaching for girls aged 6 to adult. Having provided AV support for the last two years at this event, this is a raucous fun event for the girls with around 250 aspiring young female footballers and parents, aged between 6 and 17, filling up the Craiglockhart foyer and Riady.
The event was also attended by two Scottish international women footballers who also play for Hibernian.
The event has gone well the past few years but this year was a roaring su
ccess thanks to the addition of two portable Blue Tooth speakers* which gave a big boost to the night.
In the past the event organizers had played pop tunes through the lecture room’s PA as the awards were handed out. But this year an eager volunteer was able to hook up her iphone to the speakers via bluetooth and play music from her Spotify playlist with much improved sound.
The organizers were very impressed with the new set up and after the event spoke about how they’re looking forward to coming back next year.
