Strategy 2020 development
The University’s Strategy 2020 was developed between October 2013 and March 2014 and approved by the University Court in March 2014. Staff and Students were consulted across a variety of forums including campus conversations, student senate, discussion forums and via a specially set up email inbox where teams and departments could share their opinions. A number of local and international partners and stakeholders including partner colleges, business leaders, community councils and the Edinburgh consular corps have also been asked to input into the development.
In developing the strategy the University Leadership Team also drew on the available information regarding perceptions of the University, performance, trends in higher education, political developments and trends in the wider economy and society which have the potential to affect the University in the period to 2020 and thereafter.
