National Student Survey Staff Hub
Welcome to the National Student Survey (NSS) Staff Hub – where you can access all the information and materials you will need for telling students about the 2024 National Student Survey.
The aim of the NSS Staff Hub is to equip you so that you can confidently communicate about the NSS: what it is, why it’s important, and how to complete the survey.
Academic staff are
vital to the success of the NSS campaign. When we asked participating students how they found out about the survey, 35% stated it was from a lecturer or member of staff. This highlights how vital the role of academic staff is when encouraging student participation in the NSS.
The NSS is open to final year undergraduate students and is administered by the research agency Ipsos. The official Edinburgh Napier survey launch date is 15 January 2024 and the survey will remain open until 30 April 2024. However please encourage your students to complete the survey as early as possible.
The university-wide communications campaign will begin on Monday 15 January although all eligible students can participate in the survey from when it first opens on Monday 8 January.
Final year students have been given the opportunity to opt out and the remaining 2,515 students will be invited to participate in NSS 2024.
The survey for the University’s final year students will launch on Monday 15 January 2024. Students who are eligible to take part will receive an email from Ipsos about the survey with a direct web link to the questionnaire. They will receive this initial email contact on 18 January 2024.
Non-completion within a further two week period means telephone contact by Ipsos begins (again, the option of completing online remains). Telephoning will commence on 30 January 2024.
