Timetabling Data Collection
In advance of each trimester, we collect timetabling teaching requests from module leaders and staff availability information about academic staff. The timetabling data collection period typically lasts for four weeks and takes place in April for trimester 1 and in September for trimesters 2 and 3.
Why do we collect timetabling data each Trimester?
We collect timetabling data each trimester to maintain our data integrity and ensure we can produce optimal and coherent timetables for students and staff. Between each academic year, there can be changes to student numbers, staff availability (including starters, leavers and movers) and to our teaching estate.
Module Picker
We use an application commonly referred to as Module Picker to collect our Timetabling Data. Module Picker is refreshed for each data collection period and will show all modules that in SITS are marked in-use and flagged yes for Timetabling.
2024/25 Trimester 1 Timetabling Requests
We will commence the data collection process for Trimesters 1 on Monday 8th April 2024.
From Monday 8th April, please submit your teaching activities for all modules being taught in Trimester 1 2024/25 using Module Picker. Guidance all how to use Module Picker is available in the link below.
If a module is missing from Module Picker, please contact your school timetabling administrator in the first instance. If the module is being finalised by the Quality team during the data collection period, we may ask you to complete a word form with your teaching requests.
The deadline for submitting Trimester 1 Timetabling requests was 5pm on Friday 3rd May 2024.
