Corporate Affairs are working to improve the communication of outcomes of senior meetings such as Principal's Executive Group (PEG), Court and Academic Board. This is being done with a view to increasing overall awareness of discussions and decisions. At the meeting of the Academic Board held on 12 February 2010, they approved the name of the new School created following the merger between the School of Health and Social Sciences and School of Life Sciences as “The School of Life, Sport and Social Sciences” which will take effect from 1 August 2010. They also considered a report on the findings from a range of sources of student feedback and opinion and the actions being taken to address these, a report on the academic and pastoral support available to Edinburgh Napier students studying our programmes overseas and the annual report on student appeals, complaints and conduct. The Board also approved a proposal from the Honorary Awards Committee to award Honorary Degrees to a number of individuals, which will now be considered at the next meeting of Court.
